Miles Farms
Matt and Sherrie Miles are a great team! Since 1989 they have complimented each other’s strengths to build an operation that includes the farming of over 10,000 acres and hauling grain and other ag products with a fleet of over 15 commercial trucks.
Sherrie has raised their three kids on her knee in front of their computer, keeping the books for the family farming and trucking businesses. Matt has deepened the knowledge introduced by his father to develop a thriving enterprise.
Winning the award of “Arkansas’ First farmer to make 100 bushels of soybeans per acre” in 2013 launched Matt into the national spotlight. He meets with top farmers from around the country who are brainstorming and trying new ideas to produce higher yields using fewer resources.
Matt humbly admits his limitations and surrounds himself with people who know scientific and technical details that he can implement to improve his overall operation.
Layne, the next generation of Miles farmers, and his wife, Ryane, have recently begun their full partnership in the family business. They are working alongside Matt and Sherrie to continue the Miles legacy of successful farming while leaving the smallest environmental footprint possible.
We are thrilled to have the Miles Family as partners who farm all the row crops on the Baugh land. With their high standard of excellence in producing quality yield, more efficient land usages will continue to be discovered.
You are going to love getting to know the Miles Family as we follow their story and learn about innovative developments in commercial farming that continue to bring better and safer products to the market place.
